Susan Isopi has been an attorney for 36 years. She received her Undergraduate Degree with High Distinction from the University of Michigan and her law degree from Wayne State University.
After graduating from law school, Susan became the first woman to be named an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Dearborn Heights. During law school, she clerked for a trial law firm and honed her trial skills by working for two legal aid agencies, which allowed her to practice law as a student attorney with the assistance of an attorney.
In 1985, Susan became a partner with the Law Offices of Serra & Isopi, P.C., practicing and specializing exclusively in the area of divorce.
Susan has litigated all types of divorces, including complex assets, contested custody matters, and simple uncontested cases. She has represented thousands of men and women in the circuit courts for the counties of Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, Washtenaw, and St. Clair Counties regarding all issues of a divorce, including:

Susan also understands the stress and anxiety that client’s experience. She is straight forward and will simplify the divorce process so that her clients understand the issues involved in their own divorce. She has many clients that stay in touch with her after their divorce is over.
Many of Susan’s clients are referrals from clients, other attorneys and judges who respect her abilities as a divorce attorney. She also frequently receives referrals from ex-spouses of her former clients who were impressed with her representation of their spouse. Susan is also chosen as a mediator to resolve contested divorces.
Susan is the past Co-Chair of the Macomb County Bar Association Domestic Relations Committee, where she organized, monitored and spoke at divorce seminars for other attorneys.
Susan is married and has two adult children. She loves Northern Michigan and is an avid photographer.
